Donations to our Individual and Family Assistance Program

Individual and family assistance is provided in many ways…through Gap Ministries (Project Ramp, Bunk Bed Ministry, etc.), through the Clearinghouse (heat, auto repair, medical, etc.), through prayer and Bible study and through relational ministry. Each month more than 1,000 families are assisted by Love INC and our partner churches.

All donations made to Love INC are tax deductible and often matched $1/$1 when matching grant funds are available. Please send donations to: Love INC, 11 W. 96th Street, Grant, MI 49327. Love INC also has donation envelopes available for your convenience; we would be happy to provide you with envelopes if you so desire.

Resale Store Donations

We appreciate the generosity of our wonderful donors. Love INC and our partner churches could not serve families effectively without your donations of clothing, household items, furniture, and appliances. All physical donations given to the Love INC Resale Store are tax deductible.

Food Pantry Donations

Love INC strives to be good stewards with all funds received. Food Pantry donations are no exception. The majority of items stocked in the pantry are purchased at the Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank (formerly, Second Harvest Gleaners Food Bank) for 16¢ per pound or less. Information for donating directly to our food bank account and receiving the Michigan Tax Credit (through 2011) is listed below.

Love INC also receives direct monetary donations from churches, organizations and individuals for use with pantry expenses. Often these donations are matched $1/$1 by existing matching grant funds. Information on donating directly to the Love INC Community Food Pantry is listed below.

Food donations from churches, organizations, schools, and community members help fill in the gaps with items we cannot get through the food bank. Financial Contributions for the Love INC Food Pantry through the Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank (formerly, Second Harvest Gleaners):

Through 2011, you can make a financial donation directly to Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank on behalf of Love INC – Newaygo County and receive a 50% tax credit on your Michigan taxes (up to a $200 credit per couple per year). Simply request that your donation to be placed on the Love INC – Newaygo County pantry account: #2215. Donations sent to Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank should be made out to them with the Love INC account #2215 in the memo of your check. Please send these donations to:

Financial Contributions given directly to the Love INC Community Food Pantry:

Financial contributions given to the pantry are used for several things, including the following:

  • Food purchased during Fall harvest sales (canned vegetables and fruits)
  • The purchase of personal items (shampoo, laundry detergent, deodorant, dish soap, and other items not available through the food bank)
  • Processing of meat received through the annual 4-H fair or through local farmers
  • Supplies needed to repack bulk items (bags, labels, bag seals, etc.)
  • Cleaning supplies needed to keep the pantry clean and sanitary
  • Gasoline for the truck to pick up pantry items at the food bank each week

If you would like the donation to be used specifically for the food pantry, please indicate this in the check memo or in your note. Love INC also has donation envelopes available for your convenience; we would be happy to provide you with envelopes if you so desire.
