Wood Ministry

 Many families in greater Newaygo County heat their homes with wood. Being able to provide wood to families in need is another way Love INC and our partner churches can show Love in Christ’s name to our community.

Requests for wood are received and verified through the Love INC Clearinghouse. Once the need is verified, the family is connected with volunteers from the Wood Ministry. Arrangements are made for the wood to be picked up or for volunteers to deliver the wood to the family.

St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo has agreed to coordinate the storage and distribution of the wood for the Love INC Wood Ministry. This is where our entire partner church network comes in…

Our goal is to have a good supply of wood stored up each year before the Fall/Winter heating season rolls around. We need people to donate wood, help split wood, deliver wood to the church storage site, and, as needed, help deliver wood to families.
