Project Ramp

Project Ramp volunteers have built more than 20 ramps per year over the past five years. Requests for ramps are received and verified through the Love INC Clearinghouse. Once the need is verified, volunteers from several partner churches meet with the individual or family to help them get the proper paperwork in place, and then they design and build the ramp. Each build begins with prayer offered by the family’s pastor or a member of the Project Ramp volunteer team.

The Love INC Clearinghouse works with the family to get the funding in place. An average 50 foot ramp costs about $1,200 to build. Funding for the ramps comes from many sources…family contributions, church and individual contributions, and grant funds from the Fremont Area Community Foundation.

Many churches do not have the staff or the funds to assist families with construction needs such as a wheelchair ramp. When Love INC partner churches combine volunteers and resources… together, we are better able to meet people’s needs.
