Bailey Back to School Day

(A Bailey Christian Church partner ministry providing backpacks and school supplies to children in need)

Each year in August, Bailey Christian Church sponsors a “Back-to-School” event for community school-aged children. During the event, families in need have the opportunity to receive a new backpack filled with school supplies for each school age child.

In addition to the school supplies, volunteers offer a variety of other goods and services to families: free haircuts, toothbrushes, books, stuffed animals, coats, balloons, refreshments, etc.

For the past several years, Love INC has partnered with Bailey Christian Church providing backpacks, school supplies, and on the day of the event, offering children books, stuffed animals, coats, hats and mittens. It is a day filled with blessings.

Preparation for an event of this size begins many months in advance with the collection of backpacks, school supplies, books, gently used coats, new hats, scarves, mittens and other event supplies.
